It is undeniable that Public Safety Dispatchers are emergency first responders. And that PTSI and PTSD are a real risk that comes with the work of being a 9-1-1 professional.
California Senate Bill No. 623 (SB 623) ensures California Public Emergency Responders can access care for post-traumatic stress injuries sustained in the course of their employment. The bill WOULD INCLUDE Public Safety Dispatchers among the first responders protected.
